Adding an Input Trigger to an Event
In this guide I will show how to add an input from an I/O on your MS3/5/6/700 or CZA1300 to an existing User Event.
First navigate to the User Events by logging into your EPIC server and heading to Settings > Events. The page should look something like this.

Click into the Event you want your new input to trigger. In this example we will use Lock Down.

As shown in the above image click on "When any of these happen" drop down menu then select "Devices - A device detects a change"

Now in that new item that populated as seen in the background of the above image (1) select + Add Device which will pop up the foreground window. Select the device type (2) and select which device the input is being detected on. (3)
It's important to know for step 4 if your trigger device is normally open or normally closed. In this scenario consider the device is a button that is normally open, so when it is pressed it closes the contact causing the MS device to receive a Closed signal thus activating the User Event.
Click 5 to add the trigger event.
If your User Event is setup how you want it to then you're all set.
Note: Some inputs are setup to trigger different things by default, for example on I/O 1 and 2 on the MS300, MS500, MS600, and MS700 Input 1 is set to Call the Office and Input 2 is set to activate SAFE Alert. Inputs 3 and 4 on the MS700 and CZA1300 are open for use and not pre-configured to activate anything.
If you're repurposing I/O 1 or 2 on a device you need to be sure the pre-configured programming is turned off or removed for that device.
